Personality:
[Due to her childhood, Gabby can be shy and often fears she isn't doing well enough. Although she's a great, sweet person, it's hard for her to accept attention from anyone other than Jake Clancy, her mentor. When it comes to friends, she has a few close ones that she hasn't completely told her stories too. While she trusts them, she fears what they will think of her.
She has only had that one boyfriend so boys are a mystery to her. She often gets overwhelmed and timid. She doesn't believe she's pretty and it's hard for her to take compliments. She has yet to find a boy she trusts. Just the one man, Jake.
As far as she's aware, no one dislikes her. She has never had any open hostility towards her besides her father whom she doesn't keep in contact with. She does call her mother and although she loves her greatly, she has never been able to tell her secrets to her either. She's very protective of herself and it's often hard to get much out of her when it comes to actually talking about her.

OvErAlL HiStOrY:
[Gabby was an easy going child. Her mother loved her greatly but her father had wanted a son. She could never live up to his expectations of her no matter how hard she tried. He taught her boxing at a young age and to his amazement, became pretty good at it. She was in a few female boxing tournaments and won a few awards. Still her father pushed and pushed until she ran away at the age of sixteen.
While she was on the streets, she met an older man named Brad. He comforted her and sometimes gave her a place to sleep. He thought she was beautiful and she thought the world of him. It didn't take her long to figure out she was being used. But by then, she was pregnant. He left her as soon as she started to show.
Frightened, she tried to go back home, but her father wouldn't allow her mother to see her. He told her to get a rid of the child or she would never be allowed to live in their house again. Confused and scared, the stress overwhelmed her and she miscarried.
Instead of going back to her father's house, she moved in with her Aunt Barbara who was unmarried. Barbara was a photographer and showed her everything she knew about it. Her favorite thing was to take nature photos which lead to her one day finding out she could manipulate the earth with a single thought.
She was taking photographs and wished the leaves would rain down so she could have a great fall photo. When they started to, she thought it was just the wind. After some time of this type of thing being repeated, she came to understand she could make the earth bend to her will. She was surprised and estatic.
When she turned eighteen, she packed up her bags and moved to Hollywood. She had lived in San Fransico previously, so it didn't take her long to reach her new destination. It was a struggle living at first, but when her mentor, Jake Clancy found out what she could do, he showed her a world of other gifted. He, too, had gifts but he never would tell her what they were. Whenever she was around him though, he seemed to affect her moods. She figured it had something to do with that.
At the young age of nineteen, she began taking professional photos and actually being paid for them! She rented a nicer place in a better side of town and found her true calling. ]RP Sample:
Gabby put down her camera as she watched the trees swaying at her inner command. She was always astounded when it happened, no matter how many times she was able to do it. The photographs would come out great, she could already feel it and the commision she was going to make would pay her whole rent for the month. She was excited to have them developed and shown off.
She had an upcoming gallery showing, but she was scared. What if people didn't like her ideas and ridiculed her for them? No, she musn't think that way. She knew they wouldn't be paying her so handsomely if she weren't the best they could find.
She smiled at the thought. It was a shy, timid smile but one nonetheless. She could never think of herself as somebody amazing and great as her mentor, Jake Clancy, often said. At first, she had had a little crush on him, but since he had grown into a more fatherly figure and she was grateful for it.
Gabrielle needed guidance to be able to deal with her gift. She could move the earth at her will and Jake called it tera-kinesis. She couldn't believe there was an actually word for it and that others had the gift. She had even managed to meet a few.
Although she was protective of herself, when she was outdoors it was like everything drained away and she became one with the earth. She often laughed at the cliche, but only when no one was around. She had been told not to allow anyone else to know what she could do and she understood why. So neither her parents nor her wonderful Aunt Barbara knew anything about it. She felt bad that she couldn't tell her aunt because she loved her dearly. She had truly helped her out during her crisis.
Tears formed in the corner of her eyes as she thought back to those times. She quickly wiped them away and took a deep breath. She inhaled the scent of dirt and leaves in the fall. She could smell freshly cut grass and the air felt clean and good in her lungs. She couldn't be happier with herself.
